I am over the moon to have Laura Kerrison back today. She has previously shared some brilliant Rainbow Fish activities and today she is here to share a Dinosaur Tuff Tray the children have been enjoying at their Nursery. Do you remember the Dinosaur Swamp we shared with you last Summer?
We have been having quite a bit of rain as of late. It has provided some fabulous fun for our outdoor play at our setting in Lodge Cottage Nursery, Norfolk. The Tuff Tray lay on the grass and the children were fascinated to see it filling up pretty quickly. The rain splished and sploshed into the tray.
We got the children ready and we all went outside to take a closer look. The shower had past by at this point.

We have had lots of children taking a liking to Dinosaurs as of late. They seem to be out being played with at every opportunity. It has been great setting up lots of fun activities for them based on the interests they show us. This one was completely spontaneous.
As mentioned above, the rain had already filled the tray for us. We had previously had sand in there which made the water a little murky. It wasn't long before the Dinosaur request came in and the children rushed inside to gather them up for the tray.
Together we had a walk around our setting collecting bits and bobs to add to the tray. Sticks and bits of foliage created the perfect Dinosaur World. It was perfect for the children. They rushed over to play. With their wellies on some of the children even climbed inside and enjoyed stomping around in the water like a Dinosaur!
