What is Elf on the Shelf and who created it?
Elf on the Shelf is a growing Christmas Tradition. 2005 Carol Aebersold and her daughter Chanda Bell wrote the story explaining how Santa knows who is naughty and who is nice.
This rhyming book sets the scene for your very own Elf to come to visit your home each day before returning back to the North Pole to report to Santa their findings.
When Does the Elf Arrive?
Your Elf visits between Thanks Giving and Christmas Eve. Although he/she arrives to gain knowledge for Santa - they may get up to some mischief along the way.... (see below).
