One of my first ever blog posts was showcasing around 20 ghost milk bottle decorations I had set up in the garden for a Halloween party we were having. I had sent text messages to close family and told them to save their bottles! Here is a little cheeky update on this activity idea incorporating milk bottle pumpkins, Frankenstein and of course ghosts!

I have some very exciting news! OKIDO the Science and Art Magazine for Kids now has it's very own App! We couldn't wait to get stuck in and it didn't disappoint! OKIDO is a monthly magazine, available via subscription suitable for children aged between 3-7 years old. It is jam packed with stories, activities, games, doodles, recipes and poetry.

Recently we have been introduced to Okido which is an Arts and Science Magazine for Kids. As big advocates for play I can't begin to express how I have been incredibly impressed with the content inside this magazine. It is a monthly magazine, available via subscription suitable for children aged between 3-7 years old. It is jam packed with stories, activities, games, doodles, recipes and poetry.

Pour Painting Flower Pots
In preparations for Spring gifting for Birthdays and Mothers Day I did the most wonderful activity with the children that we all had so much fun with - using the pour painting technique on terracotta pots! As November and December roll around and Christmas gifts are being purchased for family and friends, I always love to add special touches to their gifts that really personalise them. If you have followed us over on Instagram you may remember me sharing this lovely activity in my stories as we've made it.
My children are forever asking to draw so over the course of these months I whip out lengths of brown paper for them to freely decorate at the table. Our family and friends are always so touched to receive the gifts so thoughtfully wrapped and it really is a joy for us to hand them over to show them how much the memories we've made with them mean so much to us.

Poppy Stained Glass Art Remembrance Day
We made such a lovely poppy window display together. With Remembrance Day coming round quickly and the children seeing poppies as they walk around in shops and on people’s cars and clothing I like to do activities that will open up conversations as we create and make together. I shared this lovely craft over on Instagram last night....
We made some lovely nature confetti wands that I want to share with you today. With cardboard in abundance at the moment I really like to reuse as much of it as possible and it's great to be able to use some of it for crafting with the children.
I cut out 4 stars using my Cricut machine and after a walk at Dudmaston National Trust recently we collected some leaves and sticks. You may have seen this outing as I shared it over on Instagram. The children enjoyed throwing the leaves around and I got some lovely slow motion videos of them playing.
Every year I’m always looking for different events to attend with the family. If you have followed us for any length of time particularly over on Instagram you will know that we enjoy venturing into cathedrals and church’s.
Over the last few months we have had the pleasure of using a Toniebox. I wanted to leave a few months before sharing my review with you so I could see how my children would play and engage with it over the passing weeks. I have 3 children, twins who are 4 and a daughter who is 8.
It has been such a played with item - by all 3 of them! It has brought about moments of such lovely quality time together. The novelty hasn't worn off and they are drawn to it often.

Last year I shared our magic paper towel science activity where you add colour to images you have drawn on kitchen towels by dipping them in water. You loved doing this with your own children and today I am here with another really fun, effective and simple art that my daughter absolutely LOVED!

Firework Salt Painting
It's not long till Bonfire Night and many of us are turning to Bonfire Night topics now. The children will soon be seeing fireworks lighting up the night sky. They will hear them soaring up high and they will hear the crashing and banging noises they make.
We did a lovely activity recently that I am here to share with you today - Salt Painted Fireworks! Make sure you're following us on Instagram as I always do the step by steps over there on my stories. Instagram is the place I share my activities first.
It's currently half term for us and with so much change on the cards I wanted to have lots of Autumn fun with the children during this break. I booked a National Trust and with a back pack full of potential activities we set out for a day surrounded by the beautiful colours of Autumn. After our picnic we started making our Nature Collage Boards just before we started our Autumn walk trail.
We are loving art right now! We have been recently experimenting with watercolours, paper towel art and Filter Paper Art.

Halloween Magic Paper Towel Art Science
With Halloween just a couple of weeks away I am looking to do some fun, frugal activities with the children. As we really enjoyed doing a version of the magic paper towel art during the Spring I thought it would be fun to redo with a Halloween theme!
With Autumn in full swing we have now started our Autumn crafting and I just love it! This is my favourite time of year! Over the last few days we have been making the most beautiful watercolour pumpkins using our Paint Sticks - recycling some cardboard that I always keep aside from deliveries.
Autumn has landed and I am so happy to see all the beautiful Autumn colours! The walks with the children are lots of fun as they keep discovering lots of lovely nature finds all over the woodland floor! We collected lots of the acorn fairy hats to craft with. Last year we made an amazing autumn tree canvas using the acorn tops this year we made this lovely Autumn Fairy Hat Wreath.

Magnetic Wands and Chips Sensory Play
Over the weekend I set up an invitation to play that involved magnets. I had wanted a set of wands and chips for a long time and now we stock them in the shop I've managed to get my hands on a set for us and they're brilliant!
No matter what time of year noticing the flowers blooming around us is great fun. Noticing the shades, the size the scents they give off. Paying attention to which wildlife are attracted to them provides many learning opportunities.
Today I am going to share a really lovely craft where we created some beautiful flowers using an egg carton! Who would have thought that an egg carton would create the most beautiful flowers?
