The Works Christmas Gift Guide

Christmas is on the horizon. Where has this year gone? In the blink of an eye, we are in Autumn and surrounded by Christmas when we are out shopping. Everywhere is advertising their Christmas fayres, light switch on's and festive gatherings. I can't lie - I love it!

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?

I have.

A couple of years ago I left it all till December. It was the year I had my first born in the November. My mind was focused on her arrival, Christmas hadn't even crossed my mind. I got a taste of what it was like to leave it all till the last minute and I can't tell you how stressful I found it!!

I love being organised! I love having the gifts wrapped and enjoying them under the Christmas Tree before having to give them all out. I love venturing out to the shopping centres in the Christmas rush, knowing all my shopping is done! I enjoy picking up the last few treats for my family and friends a couple of days before with no pressure!

With children too I think its even more important to know exactly what you want to buy and having it all in hand. You never know what will crop up when you have little ones!

I love planning fun Christmas Traditions and Decorations.

I have recently been having a browse through The Works website. I love visiting their shop! Always something fun, crafty or interesting to pick up!

I thought I would share with you some of my top picks from their website that I think would make excellent gifts for all the family!

The Game of Thrones has been a massive hit with pretty much everyone! This must have collection of Medieval Fantasy Books will be welcomed by many! It's a race to that Iron Throne, as two powerful families play a deadly game to control the 7 Kingdoms of Westeros!

Currently on offer at an unmissable price - with free delivery!

Have someone to buy for who LOVES experimenting? From making glowing bubbles, crystals, lava lamps plus much more, this fun set ticks boxes for engaging the senses and exploring.

This item is in the 2 for £10 offer.

If you have a bubble lover be sure to try out making these Giant Bubbles and Bubble Eruptions! Both activities are great fun and will go down a treat! I guarantee you wont resist giving them a try too!

Split into 5 columns this calendar will make sure nothing gets missed. Family life is busy so it's very easy to forget about appointments, social gatherings and birthdays. With this calendar being split into sections it's a great tool to keep on top of it all.
This would make a great, useful gift for any parent with a young family!

It's an absolute bargain making it the perfect, practical stocking filler!

This was something that took my fancy straight away!! Who doesn't like pizza? Throw a pizza party and have people come over making their own pizzas!! If you run a day care setting - why not let the children create their own Pizzas for their tea?

This cute, compact Pizza Oven will have your Pizza cooked to perfection in just 5 minutes!!

If you are looking for more Pizza fun activities be sure to check out our Pizza Theme post, jam packed full of hands on learning ideas!

You can't beat filling your home with the scent of a loved aroma! It's the season for making our homes cosy and candles help to do just that. The Works have a great selection of candles, with 125 hours burning time for just £5! Which one is your favourite?

6 - Adult Colouring Books

Colouring is relaxing. I can't tell you how pleased I am when my 3 year old invites me to colour with her. I have recently purchased one of these Adult colouring books and I love it!! Again, another great stocking filler!!

Know somebody who loves a good pamper? This cute set will do just that and you get a lovely vintage birdcage decoration to put somewhere in your home too!!

What little girl wouldn't adore this book and Jewellery set? I still remember my jewellery boxes when I was younger! Twisting the key is great for fine motor skills and its magical watching the little figure spin around to music! Definitely getting this for my 4 year old!

Christmas isn't Christmas without a cheeky biscuit dunking in lovely hot tea whilst the Christmas tree twinkles! Once all the biscuits have been enjoyed - you can use the box as a money box! Do you buy for family and friends overseas? I have lots of family that live in Canada who would love to receive this!! They love Britian and you cant get much more British than a bright red telephone box!

You have to buy socks for Christmas!! Know someone who is always cold or maybe you have to buy for someone who is outside a lot? Keep their toes warm with these cute socks! Available in 4 designs!

11 - Magnetic Dart Board

Darts never get boring!! Great for gross motor skills and hand/eye co ordination. This set comes with magnetic darts making it perfectly safe for younger children! Teach them the how the game works. Darts is also excellent for Numeracy. Get your children learning their sums with ease!
Why not have a family challenge? Who would be the first to check out?

Every year me and my Mom make each other a hamper as one of our gifts to each other. Inside we fill it with each others favourite items. From make up, pamper products, chocolate, hair dyes, candles, perfume and nail varnishes! Some of the items last most of the year!! A practical gift that is lovely putting together!! If you fancy giving this a go, The Works sell a selection of Hamper baskets in a range of sizes.

This is just a taster of some of the great products The Works are selling this year!! Head on over to their website (or store) to check out hundreds more items!! You never know - you may even do all your Christmas shopping with them this year!!!!
