Valentines Day Playdough

February the month of love is here once again. Valentines Day approaching so we have been enjoying some sensory textured Valentines Playdough.

We created the playdough at home and followed our simple recipe which can be found on our Ultimate Guide to Playdough post.

Today's invitation to play looked like this:

Available for play:
- Small Heart Gems
- Larger Red Gems
- Pom Poms
- Sequins
- Bows
- Pipe Cleaners
- Sweet Wrappers
- Straws
- Glittered foam hearts
- Variety of playdough tools

As Little N always is - she was in her element today with this playdough activity. She loves anything pretty and sparkly so she was spoilt for choice in this set up! She spent such a long time selecting her decorations and adding them to her hearts and as they began filling up she would ask for some help in creating some more hearts.

She didn't spot the straws and pipe cleaners straight away but as soon as she did she began standing them all up straight into the dough.

A very simple collection of craft items that was a lovely, enjoyable Valentines Day sensory play activity today!
