The Snowman Tour

Image Map

Every year I’m always looking for different events to attend with the family. If you have followed us for any length of time particularly over on Instagram you will know that we enjoy venturing into cathedrals and church’s.

We had the pleasure of recently having a walk around The Cathedral in Birmingham. Absolutely spectacular. Gloucester cathedral is another favourite of mine. I visited when they had the refugee exhibition on just before lockdown and it was incredible.

I visited Coventry cathedral a few times as a child and it has always had a lasting impression on me. There is really something special about entering these places. They make you feel overcome with calmness. So much to take in, the grand scale of craftsmanship! It’s all so mesmerising.

For the last few years now I have wanted to attend the live orchestra in the cathedral at Christmas but sadly every time I’ve gone to book it it has been a sell-out.

I couldn’t believe my luck when Carrot productions contacted me about attending the event inside the cathedral this Christmas! Carrot Productions is the worlds leading performers of both Wallace and Gromit and The Snowman film with live orchestra and they have been voted as one of the top things to do at Christmas by The Guardian, The Sunday Times and The Telegraph.

The Snowman has such a place in my heart after watching it as a child and now watching it with my own children. Fire on, wrapped up in a blanket with the Christmas tree lights twinkling. It’s so wholesome. You really can’t beat live music too so I am beyond excited that we have been invited along to watch the show and I can't wait to share it with you too!

Alongside The Snowman, these magical performances will also include a Christmas medley and an additional animation of either The Bear and the Piano, The Nutcracker Suite or We're Going on a Bear Hunt (depending on which event you attend).

This wonderful event is suitable for all ages, and is guaranteed to enchant with its story of perseverance, optimism and love of nature.

It will be a special event that will really get us in the Christmas spirit. A lovely way to create memories together that we will for sure, cherish.

Rachel Whibley who is the Managing Director of Carrot Productions gave a lovely interview and said "Our shows are always special, but this years performances are going to be especially poignant, with families finally able to share events together again".

So true isn't it after the challenging couple of years we've all had with restrictions and not being able to do great things like this.

As I mentioned above these events are really popular so it’s important to book early to avoid any disappointment. Tickets are very reasonable too making it a lovely affordable event to enjoy with your family before the big day.

You can read more and book your tickets here.

Note - Gifted - I am being sent 3 tickets to attend one of these events.
