Pumpkin Suncatcher Autumn Craft

If you follow us and the arts and crafts we get up to and share - you will know by now that we have a thing for suncatchers. Over the last year (now Little N is a bit older) we have made rainbows, earths, flags, stars and today we are sharing with you a really cool Pumpkin Suncatcher!

You will need:
Paper (orange/black)
Clear coloured film
Laminator
Laminator Pouches
Scissors
Pen
Begin by drawing a large pumpkin on your orange or black paper/card.
Once you have the outline you can cut this out. You will then need to use your scissors to make a hole in the centre of the pumpkin shape. Cut out the centre of your pumpkin leaving around a 1cm outline of paper around the edges (see photo).
Its up to you whether you want to cut out the pumpkin section as one like Crafts on Sea did or as we did - keep the stem at the top of the pumpkin separate.
Cut your coloured see through paper up into squares.

Open up your laminating pouch, place in your pumpkin outline and begin to add the see through paper.
When you have added all the coloured paper you need add the facial features. Little N didn't want to add a nose on her pumpkins but she had the choice of a variety of shapes to choose for both their eyes and mouth.
Once everything is in place, carefully close up the wallet and laminate!
Then you will be left with some adorable pumpkin suncatchers! Not only is it a fun craft to do with your kids they make the cutest suncatchers and look really effective stuck up on the window! They add colour to your room and make the perfect Autumn/Halloween decoration!
