The Best DIY Christmas Decorations

It is so easy to get lost in the world of Pinterest. Christmas will soon roll round and I have found myself finding some awesome Christmas DIY decorations. I just had to bring them all together and show you some of the brilliant ideas I have come across. From indoor to outdoor.... this post has it all....

I adore this decoration. Simple to make and they look really effective altogether. My 3 year old would enjoy making one of these.... I think we may have to raid the log store and give this a go!! :)

Are you a collector of the Christmas Village sets? Looking for a way to get them displayed??
Why not use a ladder to create your very own Christmas Tree Christmas Village?
Looking to add items to your collection or perhaps even start collecting.... We really love these -

Christmas Led Musical Village, Train Station & Rotating Train

Battery Operated LED Light Up Christmas Village Scene - Great little set up for Children.

Everyone loves a good keepsake! These trees are created using Salt Dough and can be hung every year! I love the idea of giving them as gifts and these were packaged up so cute!! The little tags and string look lovely!! Looking for some sparkly stars to stick to the top? You can find them here.

Spindle Snowmen
I sadly don't have the source for this so if you can shed some light then please drop me an email so I can add the information. I found this on Pinterest and think its brilliant!!

Slippin' Slidin' Penguins - Relax Deco
This is so fun, especially if you have children!! They will LOVE seeing these super cute penguins sliding down the icy railings. You can buy the cotton wool in sheets here. Oh and why not bring the magic alive even more with a few penguin stories? Here are some of our favourites:

Absolutely LOVE these cute Santa sledge treats! Such a simple but very clever idea!! Naughty little treat to tuck into whilst watching Christmas films!! Ho ho ho.....

Kitchen Appliances
Even your kitchen appliances are worthy of a Christmas Themed makeover. Snowmen look really great on white appliances. What will you create?

If (like me) you don't have anywhere on your fire surround to add your stockings this is a great alternative!! In fact I think I prefer this idea than having them all hung up around the fire.

Get creative with your empty wine bottles. I should have a great collection of wine bottles if I start saving now. I blame the children for needing a glass or seven here and there haha!! Og and why not use the wine glass post below for inspiration?
How effective do these snowflakes look? You won't believe what they are made from!! Any old excuse to get the sparkly glitter out!!

Looking for a fun way to lay your table this Christmas? Totally love this snowman layout!! I would never have thought of it, but it's one I have pinned and will definitely be using this year!!

Do you have a class full of pupils that like to give little treats to around the festive period? These little wrappers are genius! In fact not only would children love them but I'm sure they would go down a storm with adults to! Go on.... print some off and get making!!

Snowman Pretzel Snacks
A fun addition to any Christmas spread or of course just as a cheeky snack!

This would look great in any window of the house. I quite fancy it for my hall window at the top of the stairs. I may even add some twinkly fairy lights!

Another cute craft the whole family can join in with!! Together create your very own Snowman pot family!!

If you are pushed for space you don't have to miss out on a pretty tree with sparkly lights.....

How clever!! Don't have a Gingerbread cookie cutter? No worries, we have it covered - you can buy them here :)

This keepsake can be brought out year after year! Very clever and really effective!
Love Love Love!!!

Have some pallets lying around, feeling crafty and want beautiful outdoor decorations on a budget. This idea should have it all covered!

Gingerbread Houses
Christmas isn't quite complete without decorating a Gingerbread house! You can gift them to your family and friends too!! A cute, tasty treat will go down well with anyone!!

The possibilities with this craft are simply endless!

Cute idea using natural materials to create your tree! This is a craft all the family can get involved in!

Another lovely craft the whole family can have a go at! Why not have a crafty session together whilst playing/singing along to Christmas songs?

Talk about cute? Get on the PJs and invite some of your friends and family over for a movie night!!
We really did love making these last year!! They looked great on our bookcase!!

Do you have lots of books? Perhaps you run a library or have a setting with one?
It's a must!!

The simple things that we don't always think of...

Simply great homemade gifts!!

This went down an absolute STORM last year and it continues (even through our Summer months here in the UK) to be our most popular post!

Some more simple excellent wine glass designs - Christmas style...

Love how colourful this craft it and will look brilliant in your settings!!

We all love a good bottle of the old vino, especially around Christmas time.... Before you throw away your bottles why not have a go at theming them? These Santa ones are great!!

What a quirky, fun decoration to have outdoors!

These Snowman Chocolate Bar wrappers are pretty cool - wouldn't you agree?!

Christmas wouldn't be complete without a candy cane!! Create these Candy Cane holders to give out as gifts.

Wood Log Snowmen - Crafty Morning
Snowman Family - Lovely Little Snippets
So easy to create and look how effective they look!! These would look great indoor and outdoor!
