Leaf Wreath Poem Autumn Craft

We are on a real Autumn craft marathon at the moment! We love this time of year as there are so many lovely things to look forward to. From observing the leaves turn and wrapping up warm for the Autumn walks collecting conkers. To celebrating with friends and family - birthdays, bonfire night, Halloween, Diwali! Not forgetting the cosy nights in with the fire on!
Today we are sharing a Leaf Wreath Poem craft that is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers!
I set up a fun painting activity for Little N. I put out various leaf sponges. I have had them for a couple of years now and they wash and wear really well!
Their prints look effective and they are used lots during the Autumn months in particular.
I squirted browns, oranges, greens, yellows and reds into a container. It wasn't long before the colours started to merge together but this is what made the leaves look even more effective.
I popped her paintings up to dry and once they were ready I cut the leaves out.
Using a paper plate and glue I stuck them around a paper plate. I dont know about you but with all the birthdays and get togethers we have, we always have these plates lying around.
I added a little leaf poem to the centre and added some ribbon on the back of the plate so we could hang it up!

Autumn leaves are falling down.
Red, yellow, green and brown.
