Cross Suncatcher Craft

Cross Suncatcher Craft

Cross Suncatcher Craft - Easter Crafts for Kids

Embrace that beautiful Spring Sunshine with this colourful Cross Suncatcher Craft. Easter is lots of fun as we gather together for parties, are challenged by the Easter bunny to go on Egg hunts however it's also useful to touch upon why Easter is special.
Regardless of what religion you are part of, teaching children about either your own religion AND others is very useful. Not only does it give them an insight to beliefs but it also teaches them to respect faith.

This Cross Suncatcher Craft is particularly great to make around the Easter period and a talk to the children about the Resurrection of Jesus.

Love you to Pieces Suncatcher Card

Love you to Pieces Suncatcher Card

Make a super cute 'love you to pieces card' with your children for somebody special. Whether you make it for a Birthday, Valentines, Mothers Day, Fathers Day a celebration/occasion or simply just because.... I'm sure it will be received well!

If you follow us over on Instagram you will know we are always out and about, doing something together as a family. If we're not out and about we are crafting and getting messy.

Did you see the beautiful heart suncatchers we made? So pretty!! It was actually the suncatchers that inspired me to do this craft with my daughter - who is always asking to make cards! I have seen the craft floating around so we decided to put our own spin on it!

My Color is Rainbow Craft and Review

My Color is Rainbow Craft and Review

My Color is Rainbow. Nurture Activities for Kids. Rainbow Suncatcher. Circle Time Activities.

Today I am sharing with you a very beautiful children's book that has captivated my heart.

My Color is Rainbow

I adore bright colours and the bold illustrations drew me in from the very beginning. They say not to judge a book by it's cover, but sometimes we are stopped in our tracks. The vibrant colours and intriguing title made me want to take a closer look.

Americans celebrate by gathering with their friends and family. Having BBQ's and parties. There are often fireworks and bonfires as part of their celebrations.
Although Little N is a Toddler that doesn't mean we cant touch upon things that are happening around the world.
We have been enjoying lots of arts and crafts and today I want to share with you 5 very simple but lots of fun activities that are perfect for Toddlers for Independence Day....

National Reading Month

National Reading Month

March is National Reading Month. This makes it the perfect opportunity to have reading more of a focus in your homes and settings. Reading is lots of fun and takes children off into the world of their imagination. It gives them ideas, introduces them to new places, new people, new words. Lots of learning takes place and not only that it's a great activity for bonding. Whether you are snuggling down together for a bedtime story after a busy day or having your child climb upon your lap to read their favourite tale - its a time that brings you together.

National Reading Month has been running since 2010. Lots of schools and settings celebrate World Book Day during this month too. Lots of children and adults dress up as characters from their favourite stories! What are your children dressing up as this year?

As part of National Reading Month we have teamed up with a brilliant collection of other websites and childcare settings to show you how you can take your children's favourite books and use them to inspire playtime. Each day there will be a new book with a fabulous craft, activity or small world linking to it.

Get in touch and let us know which books you would like to see in the collection!!

Bird Themed Tuff Tray

Bird Themed Tuff Tray

Bird Themed Tuff Tray

We have the wonderful Sue Baxter joining us today sharing another fabulous Learning Through Play set up. Sue is a childminder, rated outstanding by Ofsted and its easy to see why. We have already been lucky enough to see activities she has shared with the children for Duck Week, Easter, Pancake Day, St Davids Day, Spring and we have more coming!

Today Sue is sharing with us a Bird Themed Tuff Tray her children have enjoyed playing with. A bird topic is an evergreen topic to cover with the children. Throughout the year birds need our help and through these trays and activities we can teach children all about the birds we see out and about and discuss ways we can help them - for example making homemade bird feeders, recycling and making your own feeding stations, providing bird houses for birds to nest with their eggs.

Recycled Heart Suncatchers

Recycled Heart Suncatchers

Valentines Crafts for Kids. Recycled Crafts for Kids. Heart Crafts for Kids.

We have been recycling our Baby Breakfast tub lids to create some beautiful heart suncatchers! With twins we are getting through so many of these pots! Lids come in for different craft projects. We used them to make our PVA Suncatchers! So I have been putting the lids aside (just in case) - which as you can imagine has pleased my other half profusely! HA!
